FILE PHOTO 4FEB99 - A military jury found a U.S. Marine pilot not guilty March 4 of involuntary manslaughter in the deaths of 20 people killed when his jet sheared lift cables near an Italian ski village last year. The jury also found the pilot, Marine Capt. Richard Ashby, shown arriving for his court martial on February 4 with his attorney Frank Spinner (L), not guilty of lesser charges of destruction of property and dereliction of duty in an accident that sparked calls to close U.S. military bases in Italy.
