A FARMER HOLDS STUNTED WHEAT EARS IN SICILY.
A farmer holds differently developed ears of wheat near Corleone,
Sicily on July 23, 2002, showing the effects of drought on the wheat's
growth. From Tuscany to the tip of the boot, Italy is suffering its
worst drought in decades. Officials say rainfall on Sicily is at its
lowest level in more than 70 years and reservoirs could run completely
dry if it doesn't rain by October. NO RIGHTS CLEARANCES OR PERMISSIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS IMAGE REUTERS/Tony Gentile
