Sony Marketing's Fumie Kagaya shows off a "Memory Stick Walkman" portable audio player and "MagicGate Memory Stick" IC recording media at a Sony office in Tokyo September 28. Sony Corporation announced plans to launch the new audio products that allows the users to save four hours of digital audio files onto the "stick" instead of using the traditional medium of cassette tape, CD, or MD. The Memory Stick Walkman, with its compact size (37mm width, 96.3mm height, 19.2mm depth) and light weight (approx. 65g including battery), is small enough to be carried around easily in a chest pocket, Sony said.
