Japanese police investigate area around entrance of official residence of Japanese PM Koizumi in Tokyo after suicide attempt by a woman. Japanese police investigate the area around the entrance of the official residence of Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in Tokyo after a suicide attempt by a woman August 30, 2005. The woman, who tried to drive through barriers outside the compound, slit her throat, stabbed herself in the wrist and stomach, and was taken to hospital, condition unknown, police said.
