CHEESE ALLOCATION IN THE BERNESE OBERLAND.
A cheesemaker takes a round of cheese out of storage to pile it in lots
during the annual "Kaesteilet" in the Justi valley in the Bernese
Oberland, Switzerland September 26, 2003. In September the landowners
and their families gather on the Spycher mountain where the cheese
stores are located. The cheeses made during the summer on the Alps are
taken from storage and piled in lots. Following the address, each
member is allocated his share by lottery. REUTERS/Ruben Sprich
