An Indian army band performs during "Vijay Diwas" or victory day celebrations in Drass, 160 km (99 miles) east of Srinagar, July 25, 2007. The Indian army commemorates "Vijay Diwas" annually in memory of more than 500 soldiers who were killed eight years ago during a war with Pakistan. The war took place in the mountains of the Kargil and Drass sectors, at the Line of Control or a military ceasefire line, which divided Kashmir between the two south Asian nuclear rivals.
