A Kashmiri Shi'ite mourner, who tried to defy restrictions imposed by the authorities, kicks a teargas shell thrown by Indian police in Srinagar December 4, 2011. Authorities on Sunday imposed restrictions in which people are not allowed to gather in large groups in some parts of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-administered Kashmir, to thwart planned Muharram processions. Dozens of mourners were detained by the Indian police as they tried to take part in the religious procession, local media reported. Muslims all over the world mourn the slaying of Imam Hussein, grandson of Prophet Mohammad, during the first ten days of the Islamic month of Muharram.
