At least seven people were killed in Indian Kashmir after avalanches swept away over a dozen homes in the heaviest snowfall in recent years that brought the region to a standstill, police and army said on Friday. They said soldiers and policemen rescued more than 150 people from avalanche-hit villages in the Himalayan region in past 24 hours. REUTERS/Danish Ismail (INDIAN-ADMINISTERED KASHMIR)
