INDIAN ARTILLERY GUNS STAND IN SILENCE AT A GUN POSITION IN KARGIL SECTOR.
Indian artillery guns stand in silence during a cease fire at a gun position in the Kargil sector of Kashmir July 12. India and Pakistan stepped back from their worst confrontation in three decades, with Islamabad saying it had agreed a truce with New Delhi to allow anti-India militants to withdraw from northern Kashmir. Pakistan has said its guerrillas who have intruded across the military control line with India have started withdrawing.
