March 12, 2003. Police in Indian Kashmir detained two senior separatist
leaders along with 70 other supporters as they violated a ban on public
gatherings and led a religious procession through Kashmir's biggest
city, police said. Authorities in Indian Kashmir said on Wednesday they
had sacked 25 policemen for human rights abuses in the Himalayan region
