An Indian para-military trooper keeps guard as Hizb-ul Mujahideen a frontline militant organisation announced the withdrawal of ceasefire, at Amirakadal in the heart of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir in Indian August 8, 2000. Last month Hizb-ul Mujahideen announced a unilateral ceasefire aganist Indian security forces in Kashmir. But on Tuesday the supreme commander of Hizb-ul Mujahiden, Syed Salah-ud-din said the ceasefire announced by its group had been called off after India failed to agree to tripartite talks with Kashmiri and Pakistan.
