An Indian commando stands guard during the reopening of civil secretariat in Srinagar.
An Indian commando stands guard as policemen in ceremonial dresses stand during the reopening of civil secretariat traditionally called "Darbar Move" in Srinagar May 9, 2005. The civil secretariat, which houses the office of the Chief Minister and his colleagues, reopened in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir (IAK), after six months in Jammu, the winter capital of IAK. The Darbar Move is the age-old tradition of shifting civil secretariat and other government offices to Jammu during winter months and reopening in Srinagar during summer months.
