Carcasses of cows lie on a road near the northern town of Wajir
Carcasses of cows lie on a road near the northern town of Wajir, 492 km (305 miles) from the capital Nairobi, January 12, 2006. Livestock have died of starvation and thirst in the worst drought to hit remote northeastern Kenya in three years. Wajir is among the poorest districts in Kenya with a population of about 350,000 people. Kenya said on Thursday it would waive import duty on relief food to feed millions of people facing famine in the country's worst drought in years. REUTERS/Antony Njuguna
