War veterans of Kenya's struggle from British rule sing August 12 to mark 50 years since the guerilla movement was born in Nyeri town. The celebrations which were poorly attended saw the small break-away group say they would petition the Kenyan government to seek compensation for human rights abuses by British troops during the war.
