Major General Adrien Evequoz (R), head of the Swiss delegation to the
Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) gives a gift to a South
Korean boy, who is one of five graduates of the Taesungdong Elementary
School in the southern section of the demilitarized zone (DMZ) February
8, 2002. Taesungdong, where about 200 South Koreans live, is about one
kilometre from North Korea. The village lies under the security cordon
of the United Nations Command (UNC), who are responsible for the safety
