On Wednesday civic and religious groups sent $917,000 worth of aid to North Korea including 120 goats, 17,000 pieces of underwear, 120 tons of flour, 33,600 disposable medical syringes, 7,000 pieces of clothing and 2,562 boxes of notebooks and pencils for children. This is the first shipment this year to poverty-stricken North Korea.
