South Koreans wave as a cargo ship containing aid goods departs for the isolated North Korea at a port of Inchon city, west of Seoul, January 3, 2001. The country's civic and religious groups sent on Wednesday the aid goods worth US $917,000 include 120 goats, 17,000 pieces of underwear, 120 tons of flour, 33,600 disposable medical syringes, 7,000 items of clothes and 2,562 boxes of notebooks and pencils for children, which is the first shipment this year to starvation-stricken North Korea.
