Plainclothes policemen detain a villager in Pyongtaek, South Korea.
Plainclothes policemen detain a villager in Pyongtaek, about 70 km south of Seoul November 5, 2004. About 100 residents of a village protested against South Korean defence ministry officers who were surveying the village, which is one of the sites selected for the relocation of South Korea-based U.S. troops. The U.S. base in Seoul's Yongsan Garrison, which includes the headquarters of the U.N. Command and Combined Forces Command as well as US Forces Korea, will be moved to Pyongtaek by the end of 2008.
