KUWAITI REVEREND APPOINTED PASTOR OF CHURCH IN KUWAIT.
KUW07:KUWAIT CITY,KUWAIT,9JAN99 - Kuwaiti citizen Emmanuel Benjamen al-Gharib (kneeling), dressed in traditional Gulf Arab headdress, is appointed Reverend and Pastor of the National Evangelical Church of Kuwait on January 8. Al-Gharib was appointed as the first Gulf Arab head of a church in the conservative Moslem region. Emmanuel Benjamen al-Gharib, 49, became pastor of the Anglican Church of Kuwait in a ceremony attended by a number of Kuwaitis, religious figures and parishioners. (L-R) Rev. Abib Awad, Rev.
