Entertainers Wayne Newton, pictured at the Stardust Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on October 26, 1999, and Tony Orlando met unsuccessfully November 8, 2000 to try and settle lawsuits against each other involving a theater they shared together in Branson, Missouri. Orlando sued Newton in April 1999, accusing him of throwing him out of the business, while Newton countersued saying Orlando had spread false information about him.
