OVER 450 CHILDREN COMPETE IN BEYBLADE TOURNAMENT IN NEW YORK.
Sean McQuaid of Ossining, New York (L) and Heath Mann (C) of
Bennington, Vermont, release their BeyBlade tops into their "stadium"
under the eyes of judge Bryan McGuire (R) in a best of three rounds at
the East Coast Beyblade Battle Association Championships aboard the USS
Intrepid on the plane storage deck in The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space
Museum in New York, November 22, 2003. Over 450 children between the
ages 8 and 14 years old competed using Beyblade tops, a toy top with
various customized attachments and power launchers that are spun in a
plastic "stadium" until only one is left spinning. Over 15 million of
the toys have been sold and a TV series has been spawned from the
product. Mann won the round. REUTERS/Ray Stubblebine
