Red-tailed Hawk perches on roof of 5th Avenue apartment building.
A red-tailed Hawk believed to be the hawk known as 'Lolita,' one of a pair that had occupied a nest at 927 5th Avenue in New York City, perches on a roof of a nearby apartment building December 16, 2004. Lolita and her partner 'Pale Male,' are the pair of red-tailed hawks whose nest was removed by an Upper East Side co-op board at 927 5th Avenue earlier this month. The building has since decided to allow the now famous pair of hawks to rebuild their nest if they choose to after it makes modifications to the ledge above a window where the nest was located.
