FALAFEL SERVED IN JERUSALEM'S ABU SHUKRI RESTAURANT.
FOR RELEASE WITH STORY BC-LIFE-MIDEAST - Israeli patrons fill the Abu Shukri restaurant in the Moslem quarter of the Old City where falafel, deep-fried balls of spiced and ground chickpeas, are at the centre of a display. The family-owned restaurant, established some sixty years ago, has been serving typical Mediterranean dishes that bring Israelis and Palestinians together, since Israel captured East Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East War.
