A man from the aboriginal Tsou tribe, Voyu Peongsi, attaches the feathers of eagles and other birds to his headdress in the small village of Tefuye in central Taiwan's Alishan mountain range March 2, 2005. He is preparing for the following day's Mayasvi, a traditional war ceremony to give thanks to the Tsou's God of War. The traditional ceremony to welcome the God of War is the most important festival in the Tsou calendar and is also a coming-of-age rite for boys that helps the tribe honour and affirm their cultural heritage.
