Convicted former Libyan agent Abdel Basset al-Megrahi returns to his
cell in an armoured car after being convicted in the special Scottish
court in the Netherlands after appeal judges upheld his murder
conviction March 14, 2002. The former Libyan agent on Thursday lost an
appeal against his murder conviction for the 1988 Lockerbie mid-air
bombing, and was expected to be flown to a Scottish jail within hours.
