Quarantined cattle which possibly consumed ruminant meat-and-bone meal on January 17, 2001 await feeding at the Vaquero Cattle Feeders Inc., on January 31, 2001 near Floresville, Texas. More than 1,200 cattle on the feedlot have been quarantined amid questions about whether they ate the feed that has been banned for cattle by the Food and Drug Administration.
