BRAZIL DELIVERS COW TO CANADA'S EMBASSY IN PROTEST OF NAFTA-WIDE MAD COW BEEF BAN.
Brazilians deliver a cow to Canada's embassy in Brasilia on February 8, 2001 in protest of the North American country's ban on Brazilian beef over fears of mad cow disease. Brazil, home to the world 's largest commercial cattle herd, has never had a case of the brain-wasting illness. Canada's ban also applied to NAFTA trade block members the U.S. and Mexico.
