FIREMEN LOOK AT THE BLOOD SPILLED ON THE M6 MOTORWAY NEAR WOLVERHAMPTON.
Firemen survey the scene of the M6 Motorway in Wolverhampton, September 23 where twenty two tonnes of cows blood was spilled after a seal broke on a tanker carrying the blood being destroyed under government precautions to stamp out mad cow disease BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy). It is not yet known if the blood was infected with BSE however eight people were taken to hospital as a precaution.
