QUARANTINED HOLSTEIN COWS FEED AT THE SUNNY DENE RANCH IN MABTON.
Quarantined holstein cows feed at the Sunny Dene Ranch in Mabton, in the state of Washington, December, 27, 2003. The ranch is where a cow which tested positive for mad cow disease lived before being slaughtered on December 9, 2003 in Moses Lake, Washington. The U.S. Agriculture Department said on Saturday it believes the dairy cow infected with mad cow disease was likely one of a herd of 74 dairy cows imported to Idaho from Alberta, Canada, in August 2001.
