A Hindu devotee looks on as she participates in Thaipusam festival at Batu Caves Temple in Batu Caves outside Kuala Lumpur January 27, 2013. Thaipusam, the festival of penance honouring Lord Murugan, originated from Southern India and introduced to Malaysia in the 19th century by Indian immigrants is no longer celebrated in India.
