A Malaysian of ethnic Chinese descent bleeds after he slit his tongue during the Hungry Ghost Festival prayer ceremony in Kuala Lumpur August 16, 2006. The man used his blood as a stamp pad ink to imprint seal marks on pieces of yellow cloths, which was distributed to the devotees. Chinese believe ghosts and spirits are released from hell to visit the earth during the seventh month of the Chinese lunar calendar, also known as the Ghost Month. Prayers are offered and paper hell money are burnt to appease the dead spirits from entering their homes and causing disturbance. REUTERS/Bazuki Muhammad (MALAYSIA)
