Villagers wanting to vote and others opposed to voting clash outside a
polling station in the village of San Salvador Atenco in Mexico State,
about 50km (30 miles) from Mexico City, July 6, 2003. San Salvador
Atenco was the scene of violent rioting last year when the federal
government tried to build a new airport for the capital near the
village. Mexicans vote today, renewing their federal 500-seat Congress
