The half covered moon is seen at the beginning of a lunar eclipse in the sky over Guadalajara, Mexico, May 15, 2003. During the three-hour long eclipse the earth's shadow moves over the surface of the moon and when it is totally covered by the earth's shadow, the moon turns orange as the light from the sun is bent and filtered by the earth's atmosphere.
