A resident of the proposed site for Mexico City's new international
airport holds up a machete as he takes part in a protest against the
new airport at Mexico's City Zocalo, Febraury 6, 2002. The protesters
called their rally the "National March for the Defense and Dignity of
Mexico and Employment" and were joined by electricians and university
workers, who are demanding higher salaries.
