Women, with faces painted to look like the popular Mexican figure called "Catrina", take part in a world record attempt in downtown Mexico City November 1, 2014. According to participants, about 509 women gathered in an attempt at the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of women dressed to look like "Catrina", a character also known as "The Elegant Death" and created by Guadalupe Posada in the early 1900s.
