The Michelin Man hot air balloon floats above the site of the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena December 31. The 140 foot tall balloon made its maiden flight December 31 to promote Michelin's float in the 109th annual tournament of Roses parade which will take place January 1 in Pasadena and will be seen by a worldwide audience of 350 million. The Rose Bowl football game between Michigan and Washington will be played in the afternoon of January 1.
