Microsoft co-founder and Chief Software Architect Bill Gates holds up a tablet PC while speaking to more than 20,000 Seattle-area employees during Microsoft's annual corporate meeting held at Safeco Field in Seattle, September 5, 2000. The tablet PC is currently in the developmental stage. The theme of this year's company meeting evolved around the 25th anniversary of the founding of the software giant that began as a collaboration between Gates and Paul Allen in 1975.
