EMPLOYEE GIVES MEDIA TOUR OF MICROSOFTS HOME OF FUTURE.
Microsoft employee Aaron Woodman electronically rings a doorbell using a touch-sensitive computer screen at the entry to the new Microsoft Home of the Future located at Microsoft's main campus in Redmond, March 2. Located above the screen is an iris scanner which identifies the visitor at the door by scanning that person's eye and notifying the homeowner inside of their identity. Numerous examples of computer controlled and operated home appliances and devices Microsoft believes will become commonplace within the next five years are on display at the experimental house. apb/Photo by Anthony P.
