Turkish riot police stand guard as smoke rises from the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party's (HDP) headquarters in Ankara, Turkey, September 8, 2015. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu denounced the attacks on media, political parties and civilian property and called for calm after the headquarters of pro-Kurdish opposition and daily newspaper Hurriyet were attacked on Tuesday. The unrest took place after Kurdish militants killed 15 police officers in two bombings in eastern Turkish provinces. The PKK attacks have triggered nationalist anger against Kurds.
