MAN TENDS A VEGETABLE GARDEN OUTSIDE A FUTURE PALESTINIAN PARLIAMENT BUILDING.
Wajdi Arafi,35, tends his cauliflower garden January 14, outside what appears to be a future Palestinian parliament building just over the Jerusalem municipal boundaries in the town of Abu Dis. Inside the building is a massive hall, including a speaker's platform, and stepped circular rows wide enough to hold individual parliamentarian desks. Ahmed Korei, a senior Palestinain negotiator told Reuters on Friday that there are deliberations with Israel on the future status of Abu Dis, however, Israeli officials remain divided on whether the town on the outskirts of Arab East Jerusalem would be included in a further Israeli withdrawl from the West Bank.
