EHUD BARAK STANDS IN KNESSET AT NO CONFIDENCE VOTE OVER ARAB POET.
Prime Minister Ehud Barak stands among supporters at the Labour party benches inside the Knesset (Parliament) moments before a no-confidence vote is called over the inclusion of a Palestinian poet, Mahmoud Darwish, in the Israeli school cirriculum. Barak's government won the no-confidence vote 47 to 42 but the opposition Likud wasted no time to proclaim it will do everything in its means to bring the Barak government down. Darwish's inclusion in the israeli high school cirriculum has not been finialized.
