ARMED ISRAELI BORDER POLICE SATNDS AMONGST ORTHODOX PRIESTS BEFORE PRE CHRISTMAS PROCESSION IN JERUSALEM....
An armed Israeli Border Policeman waves to members of the crowd to move as he stands before some of the many Orthodox Christian priests at the Jaffa Gate, as some Christian Orthodox Patriarchs for 14 different countries, including the Holy Land, gather January 4 for a pre-Orthodox Christmas procession. Several hundred priests and the Patriarchs marched through the Old City to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre as they visited and prayed at the traditional tomb of Jesus. The Patriarchs are all the invited guests of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and will all be in bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus Christ, on January 7 to celebrate Orthodox Christmas.
