Bank city of Bethlehem for four Palestinians who were killed by a
Israeli helicopter attack the day before. Israel said on Wednesday it
had bolstered its forces in the West Bank but no decision had been
taken to invade Palestinian-ruled areas after what Israeli officials
called an escalation of Palestinian violence.
