POLICEMAN CHECKS SCENE AFTER GUN ATTACK IN NETANYA.
A policeman checks the scene after at least two Palestinians armed with
guns and grenades attacked a crowded hotel strip in the seaside Israeli
town of Netanya on March 9, 2002, killing one and wounding 34 people
before they were shot dead, police and medical workers said. Israeli
radio and television said one gunman was thought to be posing as an
Israeli policeman, and sprayed Israelis out for an evening stroll at
the end of the Jewish Sabbath with gunfire on the hotel strip.
