A Palestinian waves as he leaves Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity
April 10, 2002 under a deal intended to end a more than five-week-old
armed standoff at one of Christianity's holiest shrines. The Israeli
army said the first to leave the church were members of a group of 13
Palestinian militants on Israel's most-wanted list who were to be taken
to Tel Aviv and from there flown to Cyprus under a European-brokered
deal. REUTERS/Magnus Johansson REUTERS
