38 year-old Palestinian Zhanen Sawalneh is held back by a Palestinian
police officer upon his arrival at the Gaza Police headquarters after
being expelled from the West Bank December 5, 2003. Israel's military
expelled eight more alleged Palestinian militants from the West Bank to
the fenced-in Gaza Strip late Thursday without charge or trial,
Palestinian security sources said. Sawalneh, the eldest deportee, told
reporters that seven including himself were members of Islamic militant
groups and the eighth belonged to Palestinian President Yasser Arafat
