Jewish settlers wave flags and carry banners during a rally in front of the Israeli Parliament in Jerusalem, January 30, 2005. Tens of thousands of Israelis, mainly settlers, gathered in Jerusalem on Sunday to protest against Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's Gaza pullout plan, demanding he put it to a referendum. The rally in front of Israel's parliament building was one of the largest such protests held since Sharon, once a settler champion, announced his proposal last year to remove all 21 Jewish settlements from Gaza and four from the West Bank.
