Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks under heavy
security to thousands of supporters of during a pro-Israel rally at the
U.S. Capitol, April 15, 2002. Thousands of people rallied on the U.S.
Capitol grounds on Monday to support Israel and declare its offensive
against Palestinian militants equivalent to the U.S. war on terrorism.
The rally, being held as U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell struggles
for a cease-fire to the spiraling Mideast violence, was the latest in a
series held across the nation by both sides of the conflict.
