SOUTH KOREANS CELEBRATE THE NEW MILLENNIUM IN IMJINKAK SOUTH KOREA.
A South Korean girl cheers in the New Millennium with her father at Imjinkak near the border village of Panmunjom which seperates the two Koreas January 1. Thousands of South Koreans gathered near the Demilitarized zone to celebrate the New Year as they hope the nation's unification with North Korea. The two Koreas are still technically at war after their 1950-53 Korean War.
