People celebrate Juneteenth in New Orleans
Lindsay Smith and her daughter Cruz Hall, 4, participate in a dance class organized by the New Orleans School of Ballet in collaboration with Magnolia Dance & Company in celebration of Juneteenth, a holiday that marks the end of U.S. slavery in 1865, in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S., June 20, 2020. Nikki Hefko, director of the New Orleans School of Ballet, said their performance on Juneteenth and class in the park the next day was aimed to celebrate African American culture, acknowledge the real history and what's going on but also show that there is still progress to be made.
